Wild flowers are Fair Isle's secret treasure:  its combination of geographical position, undisturbed environment, traditonal methods of agriculture and mild climate produces one of the richest displays of wild flowers to be found anywhere in Britain - including some extreme rarities!

The almost legendary oysterplant grows in abundance on the seashore close to the lighthouse.
